Mickey pointed at it. ‘Is that Sereia Cay?’
We both followed his gaze. Ashton nodded. ‘Yes.’
Minnie and Mickey pressed their faces against the window, gasping every few seconds at the view.
The moment we stepped off the plane, a wall of heat hit us.
This place sat right near the equator. It was hot, humid and rainy all year round, with no real seasons and an average temperature somewhere between twenty-eight and thirty-two degrees.
I looped my arm through Ashton’s as we walked towards the pick-up point. He’d planned the entire trip, so I only had to follow his lead.
Ashton quickly met up with the hotel staff. They drove us along the coastline, the turquoise sea glittering like a giant gemstone beside the road. The water was so clear that even from the car, I could see the sand beneath the waves.
It didn’t take long before the car stopped by the beach.
I glanced around and saw no hotel in sight. ‘Where are we actually staying?’ I asked.
