It wasn't my Leo
Emily's POV.
It was crazy. It was dangerous. But right now, it was our only shot.
'Do it,' I said.
With a burst of speed I didn't know he had left, Leo lunged at Alpha James. The Silverdawn Alpha, caught off guard, didn't have time to react before Leo's massive jaws were closed around his throat.
'Listen carefully,' Leo growled, his mental voice echoing not just in our minds, but in James's as well. 'You're going to order your soldiers to stand down and let us leave. If you don't, not only will I tear out your throat right here and now, but we'll make sure every Alpha at the Summit knows what a coward you are. How you sold out your own kind to save your own skin.'
I could see the fear in James's eyes, the way his body trembled beneath Leo's bulk. For a moment, I almost felt sorry for him. Almost.
'O-okay,' James whimpered. 'Just... just don't hurt me.'
