Gabriel whipped around at the sound of Roman's voice.
The beam of a flashlight sliced through the darkness and landed on what looked like the roof of a half-submerged cabin. Waves were violently crashing against it.
The sight of this hit Gabriel like an explosion, and his mind went blank.
He didn't even stop to think. He simply plunged forward and sprinted straight into the sea.
