#Chapter 90 - Captured

[Violet’s POV] I was grateful for the fact that I wasn’t driving the car on the way back home. My eyes kept flooding with new tears every time I thought about Lucian and that heart-wrenching conversation. It hurt to physically walk away from him. But I felt as though I owed it to myself to put some space between us. We needed this time to seriously think things through—At the very least, I did. It was so much information to take in. Just when I thought things were bad, they kept getting worse! Not only was Lucian the same person who marked me all those years ago, but apparently he’d gone ahead and bonded me to him once more. Now, I wasn’t as upset to find out about Lucian being a hybrid as I was over the fact that he chose to keep it from me. For what it was worth, I kept the whole business about receiving those damned letters. I knew I could have told him but what would it have mattered? Regardless, I could hardly call it a fair situation. “Why couldn’t he just te
