After so many years with Sebastian, whenever Roxanne was in danger, she always instinctively thought of him. Even if she never actually asked for his help, he was always the one she imagined turning to for help. It was like a silent fantasy of hers—as if he was the only person who could ever save her.
Roxanne slumped in the pit, defeated.
