Chapter 67 The Sooner The Better
Kieran's POV
The hotel lobby was lavish. Standing beside me, Alpha Mark of the Shadowcrest pack smiled and raised a glass of champagne, spouting some polite nonsense I had zero patience for. Ever since Liora left with her dress soaked, I had been on edge.
"What's wrong? You seem distracted, Alpha Kieran. Are you having doubts about our cooperation?" he asked.
I ignored him and turned to my wolf, Druan. "I feel uneasy. Have you noticed anything off?"
For once, Druan actually said something useful, "I'm worried, too. Liora's scent has been fading. Something's wrong. If she were in the dressing room, her scent wouldn't be so weak. Something outside the plan happened."
I lost the last of my patience and grabbed Alpha Mark by his suit collar. "Where's Liora? Where did you take her?"
Alpha Mark's face was flushed. He fumbled for words and stayed silent, which only pissed me off more. I drove a fist into his gut, and he let out a muffled groan.
