Chapter 62 What True Hell Feels Like
Leona's POV
I quickly bent down to dodge, simultaneously driving my dagger deep into the guard's thigh. He let out a sharp cry and collapsed, but his fall created an opening for his companions.
A cold chain instantly wrapped around my left arm, yanking me backward forcefully. I felt an excruciating pain in my left shoulder—almost like it was dislocated—and the tremendous force of a pull made me stumble.
When I saw another baton about to smash into my face, I gritted my teeth and threw my entire weight backward. The motion lifted my feet off the ground, and I kicked hard into the chest of the person holding the chain behind me!
The guard staggered back from my kick, and the chain's tension loosened.
I seized the chance to roll sideways, narrowly avoiding the fatal blow. However, the baton still grazed my forehead and hit the spot where the existing scar was. Instantly, blood spurted out, and a sharp pain shot through my forehead, blurring my vision.
