Chapter 52 An Awful Day
Leona's POV
The thought startled me so much that I stood in a panic.
Suddenly, a shriek pierced the air, followed by the sensation of icy liquid running down my back. The bone-chilling cold instantly seeped through my clothes.
"Ah!" I cried out, my wound stinging when the icy liquid came into contact with it.
I turned around, only to find myself face-to-face with a stranger.
Feigning surprise, she exclaimed, "Goodness! You're so careless that you spilled the coffee I just bought!"
Having said that, she tossed away the empty cup with a look of disgust. The ice cubes clattered over the ground, immediately drawing the attention of the people around her.
I frowned, trying hard to recall how I offended this person.
I saw the name "Martha" on her nametag, but I did not seem to recognize her.
"What? You knocked over my coffee, and you're not even going to apologize?" she asked impatiently.
